Experience the Camino de Santiago, or St. James’ Way, a historic pilgrimage that has drawn millions of travelers to the burial site of St. James in Spain. The Northern Way, which stretches 179 kilometers through Luxembourg, is one of ten designated routes. This enriching cultural, spiritual, and physical journey traverses Roman roads, waterways, and towns that honor the cult of St. James.
Along the route, you’ll encounter significant landmarks such as the grave of St. Wilibrord in Echternach, the magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg City, and the remnants of the fortress in Dudelange.
The Luxembourg section of the pilgrimage comprises six stages, clearly marked by clam shell symbols, beginning in Vianden in the north and ending in Schengen in the south. Various accommodation options are available, including campsites, youth hostels, private rentals, and hotels.
